Before the anticipated Portland restaurant opens late this fall, Roustabout is giving diners a chance to sample its Italian-American fare at a pop-up event hosted by Tandem Coffee and Bakery. A ticket, $15 plus booking fee in advance or $20 cash at the door, includes lasagna, Caesar salad, garlic bread, and tiramisu, according to the Facebook event page. The bakery will have a cash bar for beer and wine, and there will be music outside.
The pop-up is intended to raise funds for the restaurant's "kick ass coffee program," which will feature Tandem coffee in forms like post-dinner lattes and espressos. The event is Thursday, September 17 at Tandem Coffee and Bakery from 7 to 10 p.m. with all proceeds going toward items like a grinder, an espresso machine, and cups.
