According to a recent Facebook post, Camden diners will have to wait another month to slake their thirst at The Drouthy Bear, originally slated for summer. Co-owner Andrew Stewart told Eater there's still too much to do for him to commit to a specific opening date in September.
While "drouthy" refers to thirsty rather than hungry, one look at those beautiful sausage, pork, broccoli and leek, and mutton pies and you'll probably need to wipe your chin. Scroll down to see the rest of the menu, available online now, with more British staples like Scotch eggs, fish and chips, and bangers and mash (and they didn't forget the mushy peas). The bar should ultimately have 11 taps and over 30 single malt whisk(e)ys to wash down the classic pub fare.
The owners are currently seeking kitchen and front of house help — no word if they pay extra for a perfect Scottish accent. Keep an eye on the bar's progress at 50 Elm Street.
