Tonight, the final anticipated spring restaurant opening of 2015 should occur, when East End "boutique BBQ" spot Terlingua invites the public to partake of its house-smoked meats with Latin American fare. After a couple weeks of kitchen testing, owner Pliny Reynolds said he and chef Wilson Rothschild (whose prior stints include Royal River Grillhouse in Yarmouth and defunct Back Street Bistro in Brunswick) are ready. Guests at two successful Friends and Family nights agreed.
The full menu for the cozy restaurant is available online, featuring everything from cold-smoked fish dip ($8/$15) and smoked beef tongue and cheek tacos ($9/$13) to Frito pie ($10) and a handful of vegetarian options like mushroom empanada ($8/14) or stuffed poblano ($10/$15). Joe Ricchio — who continues to seek a location for a bar that's now called Nero — revealed he will man the craft beer-focused 10-top bar Mondays and Saturdays.
Update, 6/25/15: The Blueberry Files just posted a glowing first look with pictures of the interior and some food.
