Figgy's Menu Promises Portland a Taste of Skillet-Fried Southern Comfort

The simple fare is liable to cause a stir.

Owner Natalie "Figgy" DiBenedetto tells Eater she's down to the last construction details on anticipated Figgy's Takeout and Catering, and is still aiming for an early May soft opening. Starting with limited hours, she might extend them to 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. come June. DiBenedetto admits that "people are begging for late night but living next door makes me think twice about that!"

Check out the menu below: cast iron skillet-fried chicken with biscuits and housemade seasonal pickle? Korean-style double-fried wings? Breaded pork biscuit sandwiches? Housemade ice cream sandwiches? Prepping comfort food like that, Figgy might need to move farther away from Figgy's to escape her new fans.
