Anju Noodle Bar turns one on Friday, May 1. As a belated gift to themselves, Anju's owners are hoping to open their new cocktail bar The Wallingford on Wednesday, May 6. Co-owner and bar manager Michael Pazdon explained the name to Eater: "It's pretty simply an homage to the Wallingford square area where we are located, and the vibrant and crafty community that surrounds us." The bar is directly adjacent to Anju at 7 Wallingford Square in Kittery Foreside.
Should the paint dry, the stools arrive, and the floor cure in time for May 6, The Wallingford's regular hours will be Wednesday to Sunday 3:30 p.m. to midnight. This new farm-to-bar space should also provide Anju with pre-bottled sparkling cocktails, as Pazdon revealed in a previous conversation.
Can't get to Kittery any time soon? The restaurant is having its first Portland pop-up dinner at Rising Tide Brewing Company May 17 from 5 to 8 p.m. Pazdon promised those who attend "are in for a treat." Tickets are available now to Dine Among the Tanks.
