The West End's new takeout option HOME Catering Co. opened softly yesterday, offering sandwiches like a Corned Beef Reuben, Candied Bacon Club, or sole vegetarian option Da Mozz:
Naturally, John Golden was on the scene. His cursory report doesn't indicate whether he sampled any actual food, but he seemed to enjoyed himself nonetheless. Co-owners Matt Chamberlain (the Hottest Chef in Maine as of 2013) and Brian Kowtko had originally hoped to open their beer, wine, and prepared food spot by mid-February in the former home of Miyake Diner; look for expanded menu options including dinner in the coming days.
