Pastrami fans wept when Full Belly Deli shut their doors, in January, due to high rents. Owner David Rosen couldn't keep the Brighton Avenue icon open with the price of real estate rising. Now, just over a month from the shutter, a Facebook page appears announcing Rosen's Full Belly Deli will be back this spring. The description of the restaurant sounds like not much will change, other than the location: "Full Belly Deli is a classic style Jewish deli. Since 1962, our recipes for Hot Pastrami, Corned Beef, Ruebens, Knishes and more are legendary."
The page does not list an address, but Eater hears the new delicatessen will be in the Old Port. Check back for updates on a confirmed location and opening date.
