This morning the James Beard Foundation tweeted the full list of nominees for its prestigious 2015 James Beard Awards, pared down from a list of semifinalists (and the award for the most confusing naming convention goes to...). Maine has gone from ten semifinalists to four nominees (or eleven to five, if you count Andrew Taylor and Mike Wiley of Eventide as individuals).

Rising Star Chef of the Year
Cara Stadler, Tao Yuan, Brunswick
Best Chef: Northeast
Masa Miyake, Miyake, Portland
Andrew Taylor and Mike Wiley, Eventide Oyster Co., Portland
Who will go all the way? The Book, Broadcast & Journalism Award winners will be announced on April 24. The winners of the Chef and Restaurant awards will be announced at the official Awards Gala & Reception on Monday, May 4, 2015 at the Lyric Opera of Chicago.
