Try East Ender's New Menu at Central Provisions' One Year Anniversary Party

Guest chefs Karl Deuben and Bill Leavy will preview their new menu.

Chris Gould, chef of Central Provisions, is a diligent sidewalk shoveler. So no matter the weather, you should have no problem getting to the acclaimed restaurant for its one year anniversary party tomorrow, February 4. The business announced on Facebook that Small Axe Truck veterans Karl Deuben and Bill Leavy will be guest chefs at the celebration. Those of you eagerly awaiting their renovation of East Ender should take special note, as the two will be previewing a portion of their upcoming menu during their special appearance.

Chris' wife Paige Gould, General Manager, said the event is not ticketed, and will involve the restaurant's typical high-quality service — with a couple of twists. One is the release of a La Louisiane cocktail (typically comprising rye, sweet vermouth, and herbal liqueur Benedictine), aged for six months in a New England Distilling Gunpowder Rye Whiskey barrel. The other is the promise of a taste of East Ender yet to come: "Chef Karl Deuben and chef Bill Leavy will also be gracing us with their amazing presence and we will be running a supplementary menu that they put together (including their mouth watering Cold Smoked Beef Burger with Stilton, Red Onion Jam and Gochujang Ketchup)."

An additional special item was name-dropped yesterday in another Facebook post: "They are going to be serving Pastrami-cured Salmon with local root vegetables, pickled mustard seeds, and pumpernickel crumble. Yum."

Maybe if you help Chris shovel today, he'd let you cut in line tomorrow. Worth a try.
