Bad news for Rockland restaurant 3Crow, which is the defendant in two legal battles with its landlord, Richard Rockwell, who apparently owns 25% of the business. One ongoing lawsuit involves Rockwell's demand to review the business' financial records. As for the other, Bangor Daily News reports that a judge last week "ordered the eviction of [the] restaurant as well as payment of more than $250,000 in rent and legal fees." The rent payment would cover 3Crow's entire 10-year lease through 2022.
All is not lost, as 3Crow owner Joshua Hixson said "he would appeal the decision to state Superior Court and was extremely confident he would prevail." The restaurant's attorney "said he will file to have the eviction order stayed during the appeal."
