A tipster alerted Eater to the possible departure of executive chef Brandon Hicks from Evo. Now, a spokesperson for the company confirms the rumor, explaining that Hicks is leaving the kitchen altogether to pursue his passion for wine. To wit, "He will be working for a wine distribution company in Boston and [Evo owner] Prentice Hospitality Group wishes him the best of luck!" Chef de cuisine Matt Ginn will lead the culinary team in the interim.

Hicks was also in charge of the Chebeague Island Inn, where "an amazing culinary team that will be filling in for Brandon until the Inn closes for the season, next week." The Prentice Hospitality Group will consider its long-term strategy for the inn during the off-season.
