Joining a burgeoning food and drink revival in Kittery, Tributary Brewing Company opens the doors to its tasting room on Saturday, September 6. Co-owner and head brewer Tod Mott has a huge following from his time at Harpoon Brewing Company in MA and Portsmouth Brewing Company in NH, a following which helped him raise over $65,000 on Kickstarter for equipment.
Starting tomorrow, tasting room hours will be Wednesday to Saturday 12 to 7 p.m., Sunday 1 to 5 p.m. The brewery will be closed to the public on Monday and Tuesday. Tod's wife, Galen, said a 5% ABV pale ale will be on tap opening day, and they are hoping to keg a nut brown ale in time for the opening as well. Three more beers are coming soon (a gose, an IPA, and a saison) and a wet-hopped beer is being brewed today to take advantage of the fresh hop harvest. Samples will be available for purchase in 4oz and 12oz sizes, and fans can take beer home in refillable growlers.
