Portland Food Map has information on a new business called Skillet, which owner Natalie DiBenedetto is hoping to add on to the Yordprom Coffee Co. building in the West End this fall. DiBenedetto, also known as "Figgy," needs approval from the Historic Preservation Board to alter the current building. Skillet would offer limited tables for in-house seating, a catering service, and a take-out window for southern fare including "fried chicken and fixins". DiBenedetto, a Culinary Institute of America grad, sold her most recent restaurant, Another Fork in the Road, some years ago and moved from New York to Maine. She has been catering locally under the business name Au Phare.
