Once again providing a neighborhood take-out option in the spot where DiPietro's used to be, Ten Ten Pié opened on Saturday, August 16. Co-owner/pastry chef Atsuko Fujimoto unveiled only the bakery portion of the multicultural menu, which will be complemented by lunch and grocery options beginning today. Some of the highlights of the diverse offerings available were the pork and kimchi-filled steamed bun, the twice-baked croissants, and the sour cherry danish. There were even complimentary Lebanese sweets available for customers who made purchases of pastries and/or coffee, which was from Rock City Coffee Roasters in Rockland.

Co-owner Markos Miller said Ten Ten Pié will be open Wednesday to Saturday from 7 a.m. to "mid-afternoon" (2 p.m., according to a recent Facebook post) for now; once things are running well and the owners can hire staff, the store's hours will grow as well. Below are some additional photos of the small and still sparse interior during the opening morning, with Miller manning the register and Fujimoto on coffee duty.
