Welcome to the photo series Eater Scenes, where Eater photographers visit some of the state's notable restaurants to capture them at a certain point in the day. In a special entry for The Five Days of Meat theme week, Corey Templeton visits Portland's new steakhouse and rotisserie, Timber, on a rainy Fourth of July Friday at 7:00 p.m.
Dan and Noah Talmatch, proprietors of The North Point, opened Timber Steakhouse and Rotisserie at the end of May, promising aged 100% certified Angus beef in "a classy steakhouse with a modern Maine twist." The restaurant's full menu is available on its website. Less than two months later, Dan says that the restaurant is usually cranking around 7:00 p.m. on a Friday; in this case, with the Fourth of July fireworks display postponed until Saturday, July 5, photographer Corey Templeton captured a damp but lively crowd seeking shelter from the rain, a stiff drink at the whiskey-centric bar, and some meat hot from the grill. · Timber [Facebook, Twitter, Official Website]
