The Blueberry Files has pictures of the "Hugo's Asian 90's Dog," designed by chef/co-owner Mike Wiley (Hugo's, Eventide Oyster Co.) for week nine of Blue Rooster Food Co.'s guest chef series. The "umami-rich" dog "is topped with kimchi, puréed egg yolk, and noritamago furikake (a rice seasoning made with dried egg yolk and seaweed)." As for the name, Wiley tells Eater that "It refers to 1990's Asian-fusion cuisine, like wasabi mashed potatoes or teriyaki hot wings. We joke a lot at Hugo's about how much of our food and flavors fall into such a culinary cliché." The dog costs $6 and is available until Friday, August 1.
