Barreled Souls Brewing Company co-owners Chris Schofield and Matt Mills have launched a Kickstarter campaign to raise $15,000. In addition to fermenting all of their beer in oak barrels, they hope to bottle a portion of those beers after aging in barrels "that have previously held all sorts of different products: bourbon, rye, brandy, scotch, wine, rum, tequila, etc., to showcase the range of flavors and aromas that can be imparted." If successful, the funds they raise would be put toward these increasingly expensive and hard-to-find barrels.
