dipietros.JPGPortland Food Map has the scoop on a new business replacing DiPietro's on Cumberland Avenue in Portland: Ten Ten Pié, a bakery cafe and market from husband and wife Markos Miller and Heather Nichols. "The name is a Spanish expression which refers to a quick snack or bite to eat," and the cafe will serve fresh pastry in the morning, "international comfort food" for lunch, and meet some of the "light grocery needs of the neighborhood" with a retail operation. Miller, a Spanish teacher and Fulbright scholar, ran for mayor of Portland in 2011 and a Press Herald profile from that race suggests he will be positively engaged in the community.
