Look for coffee, pastries, and free wi-fi in a "friendly and customer-driven" space. Coming to the spot next door is a gas station/convenience store/eatery in what was formerly a nightclub. [BDN]

FREEPORT— Set to open in late May, Freeport Public Market will have four tenants: Amato's, Peachy's Smoothies, Kamasouptra, and Cafe Crepe, which reports a May 15 market start date on Facebook. Stay tuned for more news on this new Freeport addition, coming to 20 Bow Street. [The Forecaster]

SwitcheroosOld Port Wine Merchants bought Downeast Beverage and plans to turn it into a second location. The new shop will close for about a month for renovations and will reopen as Old Port Spirits and Cigars this summer. [PFM]
