Freeport Village's 'Inviting' Azure Cafe Gets 3.5 Stars

This week in Dine Out Maine, John Golden covers the Italian-inspired cuisine at Azure Cafe. The restaurant, which has been housed in the same location for 11 years, received three and a half stars for its menu of Italian classics and "more evolved" fare. The service and the wine received high marks. And while some dishes— pork tenderloin, vanilla cheesecake— need work, the crema caramella, chicken parmesan, lasagna Bolognese, and Maine seafood cakes stood out as highlights. [Press Herald]

Elsewhere, 12-seat restaurant Roxy's Cafe & Creamery opened last month in Hermon and has thus far been well-received. And south of Maine in Hampton, New Hampshire, Bonta is praised for its warm, elegant atmosphere and fantastic, adaptable menu offerings.
