Easy Day, a new restaurant/lounge/bowling alley, opened softly in South Portland last week with a grand opening planned for next week, according to MaineToday. Chris Tyll, who owns Pat's Pizza in the Old Port, is behind the hybrid venue, which has 10 bowling lanes, a full bar and a large dining area with water views. Tyll tells MaineToday that the menu focuses on fresh, local ingredients. There's "Detroit-style" pizza (sauce over the cheese and toppings), so don't expect the same pie they serve at Pat's. From the photos on MaineToday and Easy Day's Facebook page, it looks like an impressive renovation of a space on Broadway that's seen a number of businesses come and go (Beale St. Barbeque, The SoPo and The Grill House, to name a few). Hours are 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. daily.
