The East Ender received three stars ("good") from John Golden in this week's Maine Sunday Telegram review. The burger platter "ranks as one of the best in town," but Golden encounters some "isolated mishaps" (broccoli-less broccoli fritters, "dry and leaden" hush puppies). In sum: "What's inherent about gastro-pub fare is that it's big, hearty food that needs to be washed down by good beers and spirits. This is easily accomplished at the East Ender." [MST]
