The Samoset Restaurant is Now a Pile of Rubble

This is what's left of the Samoset Restaurant in the Bristol village of New Harbor (on the coast in Lincoln County). The photo was posted in the Midcoast Eating & Drinking Society's open group on Facebook. The poster writes, "The Samoset Restaurant in New Harbor, known as the 'Samo' to locals, was bulldozed yesterday. The property was bought by a restaurateur from DC who also has a summer home in the area. His plans are for a year round 'pub-style' restaurant with affordable, high-quality food; a place with an atmosphere, menu and prices 'very friendly' to the locals."
