Today is opening day for M.C. Spiedo, Mark Gaier and Clark Frasier's new restaurant in the Renaissance Boston Waterfront Hotel. Gaier and Frasier are of course known for Arrows and MC Perkins Cove in Ogunquit. Their new venture features "Italian Renaissance-era rotisserie cooking on a 40-inch steel spit" as well as a "100% Italian wine list, a 10-seat marble antipasti bar with a view of the kitchen, booths hidden away behind thick curtains, and 'Market Carts' transporting charcuterie, cheese, and small bites like deviled eggs and spiced mushrooms around the dining room."
