For the second time in three weeks, Maine Sunday Telegram critic John Golden awarded five stars to a Portland restaurant, this time giving Hugo's the "extraordinary" rating. (Two weeks ago, it was Petite Jacqueline.) "Ever since the dynamic trio of owner-chefs Arlen [sic] Smith, Mike Wiley and Andrew Taylor bought the restaurant from their brilliant mentor, Rob Evans, they have re-positioned Hugo's into a remarkable dining establishment that debuted last July in a bravura performance of gastronomic perfectionism."
