Maine Restaurant Week revelers have just over a month left to strategize about maximizing their food intake and minimizing their wallet output; the prix-fixe menu extravaganza returns for a sixth time on March 1 and lasts through March 10. The list of participating restaurants has begun to take form, with over 60 so far. Of those, nearly half are in Portland.
Participating restaurants will offer a three-course meal for $25, $35, $45, or $55. In the current line-up, about half of the restaurants are at the $35 level, most of the others are at $25, and just a few are $45 and up. (Natalie's at Camden Harbour Inn, one of Eater Maine's 18 essential restaurants, is currently the sole $55-er.) There will be a few special events during the week as well, from a bowling tournament to a pancake race (flip pancakes while running).
