John Golden, in a first-look review on his blog, says Vinland didn't need all that pre-opening attention because the food and atmosphere speak for themselves. Judging by this passage, he really liked it: "That it would make you tipsy with joy to loll in this hot bath of culinary rapture with fire and ice at your side as you take that first bite and think--and this is the finest moment of my life!"
