Five local beers and one cider will be facing off tonight in the Industrial Park Challenge at the Great Lost Bear. Here's how it works: the six drafts beverages will be offered for $2.99/pint from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Whichever sells the most in that span wins the 2014 Bear's Cup. Representing the Riverside Industrial Park are Allagash White, Geary's Pale Ale and Bissell Brothers' The Substance. And in the yEast Bayside corner are Rising Tide Daymark, Bunker's Boondock Scotch Ale and Urban Farm Fermentory's Dickson Cider. The reigning champ, Maine Beer Company, moved its operation from Riverside to a larger facility in Freeport, so it will not be defending its title.
It's like the Olympics, only it happens every year and the losers still end up feeling really good.
