Damian Sansonetti has leased the little former Bresca space and plans to open an Italian restaurant there this fall, reports Portland Food Map. Sansonetti, who co-owns Blue Rooster Food Co. and previously was executive chef at NYC's Bar Boulud, plans to aptly name the restaurant Piccolo. From PFM: "Sansonetti will be serving a menu inspired by cuisine of Calabria and Abruzzi, tapping into the rustic tastes of the regions where his family hail from." [PFM]
