lanzalotta.JPGMicucci's will keep serving Sicilian pizza slabs, though Stephen Lanzalotta, the bakery manager who created the recipe, is no longer working there, according to Meredith Goad of the Press Herald. Rick Micucci, who is the president of Micucci Grocery Co., told Goad that he couldn't comment on the details surrounding Lanzalotta's departure, but Lanzalotta claimed in a mass email that he was fired for "overstepping my bounds" in advocating for raises for bakery assistants. He also claims ownership of the slab recipe, so there's probably more to come on this story. [PPH]
