The iconic Jameson Tavern in Freeport, which shuttered suddenly in February, has a new owner and hopes to reopen by July 4, according to the Tri-Town Weekly. Tom Hincks, most recently of Fisherman's Grill in Portland is doing simple fix-ups to the space. A licensed seafood broker, he "will buy off the boats as much as possible. ... "People who are coming to Freeport and Maine aren't looking for falafel. If I did too much to the seafood, I'd be an idiot." [TTW]
