The inconspicuous Catbird Creamery, tucked away on Main Street in Westbrook, topped The Golden Dish's rankings of seven local ice cream/gelato shops. Former Five-Fifty Five pastry chef Andrew Warren is the man behind Catbird's ice cream, which beat out Captain Sam's, Gorgeous Gelato, Mt. Desert Island Ice Cream, The Gelato Fiasco, Maple's and Palazzolo's (which is from Michigan but served on Gusto's Italian Food Truck). —Tom Minervino [TGD]
