The Porthole Restaurant & Pub is fully up and running for breakfast, lunch, dinner and weekend brunch. With a clean, open kitchen, pared-down dining space, ebullient manager Beth Poitras, talented chef Jesse Poirier and a friendly staff, owner Ken MacGowan has raised the crumbling icon from the ashes, leaving last fall's health inspection mess a distant memory. It's quite possibly the comeback of the year.
