The beverages on tap and in bottles at Maine's restaurants and bars are, increasingly, made right here in the state. For thirsty explorers eager to know the stories behind the what's in their beer mug or cocktail glass, a little green bus named Lenny is here to help. The slogan for The Maine Brew Bus is "Driving You To Drink Local." Launched by Zach Poole last fall, this is the MBB's first summer on the road. Poole is ably assisted by fellow beer geek, Don Littlefield, who keeps passengers entertained between stops with history lessons and trivia quizzes. Three tours are currently offered, with more coming in June. To soak up the beer and booze, they all include stops at eateries: The Run of the Mill Public House & Brewery in Saco on both the Casco Fiasco and York County Bounty tours, Federal Jack's in Kennebunkport (the birthplace of Shipyard beer) on the Casco Fiasco tour and The Thirsty Pig in Portland on the Local Pour Tour.
