One of the most important parts of Burger Week is determining once and for all, through a highly imperfect bracketing and voting system, which burger is the best burger in all of Maine. Admirably assisted by reader submissions, we've chosen 16 burger contenders in four categories. They are: old-school burgers, pub-style burgers, gourmet restaurant burgers, and wild card burgers. We'll ask for your votes in one category daily. The winners of each of the four rounds will battle it out on Friday for the coveted title of Best Burger in Maine.

In Round One, Best Old-School Burger, the cheeseburger from Harmon's Lunch in Falmouth was the clear winner. In Round Two, Portland's Little Tap House won the day. Voting starts right now for Best Fancypants Burger: restaurant burgers featuring exotic or unusual ingredients. Voting will be open until 3 p.m. tomorrow.
