Best Burger In Maine Reader Poll: Old-School Burgers

One of the most important parts of Burger Week is determining once and for all, through a highly imperfect bracketing and voting system, which burger is the best burger in all of Maine. Admirably assisted by reader submissions, we've chosen 16 burger contenders in four categories. They are: old-school burgers, pub-style burgers, gourmet restaurant burgers, and wild card burgers. We'll ask for your votes in one category daily, beginning today. The winners of each of the four rounds will battle it out on Friday for the coveted title of Best Burger in Maine.

First up: old-school burgers. These are the nothing fancy, reliable, tried-and-true stalwarts of the burger world. The ones we turn to when we want the simple comfort of patty and bun, maybe with cheese, maybe not. Voting will be open until 3 p.m. tomorrow.
