1) 1st Annual Ice Festival of Lewiston-Auburn
When: Today and tomorrow 5 to 9 p.m.; Sunday 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Where: Fountain Plaza at Bates Mill Complex, 150 Mill St., Lewiston
What: A three-day celebration of ice, booze, food and music, including: a hometown brew bar with Gritty's and Baxter Brewing on tap; cocktails from the Pinnacle Vodka ice bar; the Sequin wine ice bar; and hors d'oeuvres from Fishbones, Margarita's, Fuel, Maine Gourmet Chocolates, Jasmine Cafe, Sea 40, The Library Cafe and more. Tickets for tonight and tomorrow are $10, including 2 drink tickets. On Sunday, "family day" admission is free.
2) Wine Walk in the Old Port
When: Saturday 3 to 5 p.m.
Where: Beginning at Eve's at the Portland Harbor Hotel, Portland
What: Wine Wise marks its third anniversary with sommelier Erica Archer's guided tasting and walking tour of the Old Port, stopping in at four Wharf Street restaurants for food paired with the wines and a chat with the owners/chefs. Three bold reds and a vintage Champagne are featured. The cost is $45 per person and advance purchase is required.
3) Food And Wine Pairing Class
When: Saturday 2 to 3 p.m.
Where: One Dock at The Kennebunkport Inn, Kennebunkport
What: The latest in One Dock's Local Mix series happening each Saturday through March 30. $25 per couple; pay in advance or at the door.
