Dim Sum Brunch; Artist Series Dinner; Orchestra Benefit

BRUNSWICK - Tao restaurant is celebrating the Spring Lantern Festival (Chinese New Year) with its first Dim Sum Sunday Brunch on Sunday, Feb. 24 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. There are lots of delicious-sounding things on chef Cara Stadler's prix-fixe menu, including Maine crystal shrimp dumplings, Imperial soup dumplings and sweetbread Chinese pancake. FREEPORT - Some of the Portland area's biggest chef names are cooking for the 12th annual Portland Symphony Orchestra Wine Dinner & Auction on Wednesday, March 6 at the Harraseeket Inn. Sam Hayward of Fore Street, Ian Hayward of Petite Jacqueline, Mitchell Kaldrovich of Inn by the Sea, the Inn's chef Eric Flynn and pastry chef Ilma Lopez of Grace will each provide a course of the five-course dinner.
