David Levi's Vinland (sneak peeked here last week) had its soft opening on Friday night, serving up a three-course menu for $40. In the lead-up to the opening, the restaurant received national coverage on Eater and the Huffington Post for its 100% locally sourced food concept (which means no olive oil, lemons, black pepper, etc.) as well as its interesting manifesto (on its website under "Mission").
The Vinland website does not yet have a menu posted. Previously, Levi said that he plans on having a tasting menu and a la carte options. A Chowhound message board poster put up a photo of the opening night menu, likely a scaled down version of what is to come, that at least provides a glimpse of the type of food Vinland will offer.
