Menus and a Peek Inside the Brand New Top of the East Lounge

The restaurant at the old Eastland Park Hotel/new Westin Portland Harborview wasn't the only space to get a total revamp. While the hotel's landmark Top of the East rooftop lounge didn't get a new name with a superscript number, it did receive an expanded space with a kitchen, and the worn old couches have been replaced with sleek new ones. It opened a week ago. The Facebook page has a gallery of interior pics (one of which is atop this post).

The lounge, offering incomparable views of the city, is open to the public 5 p.m. to 1 a.m. daily (except for New Year's Eve, when it is hotel guests only). There's already been a strong turnout to check out the renovations. Folks will be turned away when capacity is reached, as John Golden learned when he attempted to take a gander last weekend. Fortunately, there's a bar downstairs and plenty in the surrounding area should this occur. Here are the new food and drink menus for the Top of the East:
