Bard to Beard

bard%20ql.JPGZapoteca chef/owner Shannon Bard will cook at the James Beard House in New York in January, according to Meredith Goad's Maine a la Carte blog. Bard says she plans on doing a "Mexico meets Maine" theme for the five-course meal for 80 diners. She also mentions plans to add another Portland restaurant and, possibly, a Boston spot in the future. [PPH]
