B.good, a Boston-based fast casual burger chain, is launching its first Maine location today with free burgers, fries and salads for "family" from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at 15 Exchange St. in Portland's Old Port. Becoming part of the family and receiving an invite simply involves signing up here. Tonight's festivities will include live music and "weird" games out front. The Grand Opening is tomorrow at 11 a.m. The burger joint will be open for lunch and dinner daily, with late-night hours on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
With veggie, turkey and chicken options to accompany the house-ground steak burgers, along with baked fries (regular and sweet potato) and a focus on local sourcing of its products, b.good tries to differentiate itself from other burger chains. (Here's Six Things You Need to Know About b.good, along with a menu.) The Portland location will also offer draft beer and wine, with a "tap room" upstairs. The space has taken shape nicely.
