After two years in business, Figa, chef Lee Farrington's tiny, East End Asian-fusion restaurant, served what may or may not have been its final dinner on Saturday night. The closing to "regroup" was announced early last month on Figa's website, where Farrington, who owns the building, wrote she would be "either re-opening with something more low-key and fun or move on altogether." For now, it doesn't appear that moving on is where she's headed. On Sunday, she posted a question on Figa's Facebook page: "Next chapter....what should one do to with their restaurant make over?? Thoughts Portland??? I'm taking it all in......tell me ...please!" Among the responses was this from chef Jason Loring of Nosh: "Get rid of one of your bathrooms and make the bar bigger. Like 15 seats. U only need 1 bathroom if u are under 40 seats. ( new law)."
