The owners of Hugo's in Portland have just announced that in late February, they will be closing "to begin a grand transformation." According to an email newsletter from chefs Mike Wiley and Andrew Taylor and GM Arlin Smith, "The new Hugo's will introduce a luxurious, sprawling tasting bar, overlooking an open kitchen. Guests can dine while watching the chefs at work, or sink into plush, leather booths." The revamped Hugo's will open in the spring. [EaterWire]
