An update in the ongoing saga of the Porthole's health inspection issues cites documents obtained by The Portland Press Herald showing that on Aug. 18, inspector Michele Sturgeon's visit turned up 28 violations, eight of them related to "imminent health risk," but allowed the restaurant to remain open. The report says that the restaurant will be closing Jan. 1 for a "major overhaul." [PPH]
