Soup At The Mall; Cruise Ships To Serve Lobsters

PORTLAND - Kamasouptra, the popular soup stand at the Portland Public Market House, is opening a second location at The Maine Mall, according to The Portland Press Herald. It will be the second locally owned food business at the mall, joining Amato's, and will offer 12 different soups daily.

BAR HARBOR - U.S. Rep. Chellie Pingree has been successful in her efforts to convince cruise ships to serve Maine lobster when they stop in ports on the coast, according to The Associated Press. Pingree wrote letters to 15 cruise lines, receiving a quick response from Holland America, whose ship, Massdam, will take delivery from the Trenton Bridge Lobster Pound when it docks in Bar Harbor on Friday.

PORTLAND - Delta Sky magazine has published a brief dining-round up of Port City restaurants for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Highlighted are: 158 Pickett Street Cafe, Duckfat, Miyake, and Emilitsa.
