PORTLAND - Grace Restaurant has introduced "whole beast" dinners, beginning with lamb from North Star Farm in Windham. "We here at Grace think that using the whole animal is integral to honoring the entire circle of procuring, preparing and eating our food," owner Anne Verrill said in an email. With 72 hours notice chef Pete Sueltenfuss (above) will "prepare an interactive and exciting dining experience" for 6-8 guests. The four-course dinners are $55 per person with $25 extra pp for wine and beer pairings.

BANGOR - Sea Dog Brewing Company has expanded both its brewery and its pub, opening a new dining area called the Barrel Room. According to WCSH Channel 6, the new space will be used for dining on weekends and for private parties.

DEDHAM - The Travelin' Maine(ers) bloggers opine on wine dinners, including one at Lucerne Inn in Dedham. Up next at the stately lakeside inn: Italian Grill with Wicked Wines, scheduled for July 11.
