SOUTHERN MAINE — Even if you don't have your holiday shopping done yet, it's not too early to start making a dining and drinking plan for New Year's Eve. Meredith Goad of The Portland Press Herald has a comprehensive list of menus and festivities planned at restaurants from Camden to Kennebunkport.

CHINANorm Elvin, owner of the popular China Dine-ah is renovating a 2,500 square ft. "former driving school and linen shop" to open China Dine-ah Too Go, a seasonal restaurant and bakery aimed at the Acadia tourist crowd, according to The Forecaster. "Customers will place their orders and be able to sit in one of 16 seats inside or on a new 30-seat deck that is yet to be built outside." There will also be a dog walking area and (curiously noted) "he will advertise clean bathrooms."
