Welcome To Eater's First-Ever Cocktail Week

Ladies and gentlemen of legal drinking age, please inch a little closer to the computer screen for a special announcement. Starting right now and ending, oh, around cocktail hour on Friday, Eater will be your headquarters for all things shaken and stirred for Cocktail Week 2012. We're going to visit beloved neighborhood joints, spotlight iconic dives, chat with Eater Maine's Bartender of the Year Guy Streitburger and feature all manner of maps and guides as we raise a glass to the people and places that make this a great drinking town.

To wet your whistle, here's a sampling of seasonal cocktails on menus now at notable spots to meet for a drink, in town and just beyond.
