For its regular "48 Hours" feature, the Maine Magazine staff travels just a short distance up the coast from Portland to Freeport, South Freeport and Brunswick. Associate Editor Sophie Nelson begins her trip with Brunswick, visiting Tao for cocktails, Clementine for dinner and Wild Oats Bakery and Cafe for morning coffee. In Freeport, she takes a break from shopping at Azure Cafe, Linda Bean's Maine Kitchen and Gritty McDuff's for snacks and beers, and Conundrum Wine Bistro for pizza and salad. Art collector Jack Leonardi and his family visit Pedro O'Hara's, The Tavern at Brunswick Station and Bryne's Irish Pub in Brunswick, with a stop at Fat Boy Drive-In for lunch and Henry and Marty for pre-theater dinner in Freeport. Art Director Heidi Kirn dines at Harraseeket Inn, Azure Cafe and Buck's Naked BBQ in Freeport and Frontier in Brunswick.
